Northern Essex CC to open culinary school after Lupoli foundation gift
The family foundation of local real estate and pizza mogul Sal Lupoli recently pledged $500,000 to Northern Essex Community College, a gift that will help NECC open a new school of hospitality and culinary arts next year.

Construction begins on Heights project
HAVERHILL — Calling it the kind of building that's never been seen before, developer Sal Lupoli kicked off a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday for his 10-story residential and commercial building called "Haverhill Heights."
More than a walkway. A transformation
LOWELL -- The typical foot traffic was bustling around inside the Gallagher Terminal on Sunday afternoon.
The difference was on the outside.
The skeleton of the 140-foot pedestrian walkway linking the transportation terminal with the Thorndike Exchange was installed on Saturday night. A hulking 275-ton crane was used to put the walkway in place.
