Summary: We are seeking a cleaning professional with strong supervisory skills to oversee our 2nd shift facilities custodians. This position reports to the Director of Operations. This individual will also have solid experience training new team members and display a positive approach with subordinates and coworkers at all times. Must also be committed to high standards and possess the ability and initiative to correct deficiencies in a timely manner. The goal should always remain continual improvement in overall performance by every custodian in each of our campus buildings while operating within budget guidelines.
Include, but are not limited to:
Create and maintain a schedule and checklist of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks to ensure completion.
Train new employees.
Supervise subordinates; monitor performance.
Inspect cleaning equipment; perform routine maintenance.
Assist workers to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Capacity to substitute for absent cleaning staff members on short notice.
Conduct quality control inspections at all times to ensure that all tasks are completed in a satisfactory manner.
High School Diploma (or GED); college degree a plus.
Minimum of 2-4 years of successful experience functioning in this capacity within an organization of our size.
Solid working knowledge in all major areas of building maintenance, including restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, equipment operation and maintenance, chemical knowledge, MSDS and safety.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral), organize, prioritize and manage time.
Solid relationship-building and fostering skills.
Adept at effectively leading and developing people, processes, and procedures.
Computer skills; proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office.
