Residential Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary: We are in search of a stellar Facilities & Maintenance professional. The ideal candidate must possess an exceptional customer service, a can-do attitude with the ability to perform in multiple areas of maintenance. Individual must have a keen aptitude for attention to detail, organizing, prioritizing and understanding the importance of following through to completion of all work, tasks and assignments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete general maintenance duties (painting, minor repairs, general cleaning (inside/outside of properties), floors, unit turns (residential properties) as well as some preventative maintenance.

  • Respond to and complete work orders.

  • Respond to tenant calls/requests; other operational and/or administrative tasks.

  • Perform preventative maintenance duties in adherence with established guidelines, programs and procedures; make necessary recommendations for improvements where required.

  • Inspections, site safety, participate in rotating emergency service call coverage.

  • Promote safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards, procedures and complying with legal regulations at all times.

  • Communicate in a professional manner with building tenants, property owner/management/vendors on a regular basis and at all times.

  • Move furniture and/or equipment when required.


  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial building maintenance environment.

  • Technical, vocational or on the job training in HVAC, minor electrical (able to change a ballast) and light plumbing (clear drains, soap fixtures), light carpentry and routine preventative maintenance experience.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Proficient in English (written and oral).

  • Computer literate; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook, electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems.

  • Valid, reputable driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently; 100 pounds on occasion.

  • Demonstrated success in this capacity.
